As to my interpretation of this line, I think Seiko is admitting how she sees the world. To her, it was beautiful to break from the false role she was playing, beautiful to finally act on her anti-social tendencies. But it was also sad, because she crossed a line she was never able to come back from, hurting her son and her nephew. Seiichi, who followed in her footsteps, in that moment is able to see things in the same way.
